We had a great Introduction to Defensive Carbine class yesterday! We beat the rain to the range and then spent some good time in the class room.
This class lays the foundation for effective defensive rifle use by starting with the basics - safety, manual of arms, ethical and legal obligations, and the fundamentals of marksmanship.
We then progress to the range and put these things into practice. Students learn how to efficiently reload, clear malfunctions, place accurate shots on target, and even how to get into a shooting position quickly when pivoting.
We even had a couple of students earn a Defender patch!
