Another Intro to Scoped Carbine class and what a surprise, it was another wet one!
Students braved the elements to begin learning the key fundamentals in shooting at longer ranges with an AR15. As they learned, it's not only possible, but quite obtainable. Statistically speaking, you are much more likely to use your rifle at longer ranges than CQB when faced with a defensive situation, so these skills are excellent to have.
Students started the day with a discussion around ballistics and building their DOPE. They then shot close and far to understand scope characteristics. Although the fog rolled in limiting some of the longer range stuff, we were able to close out the day going the distance.
